Helloooo Wonderful Members of Alagaesia. Today we have another type of blog...this time...STAFF INTERVIEWS. Now todays staff member is… THE WONDERFUL ANYA!
What made you want to become Head of Carvahall?
Well my father Nikolas had been the head of this town for as long as I can remember so I have grown up watching him manage affairs and bring people together with events and merchant fairs. It was expected that I would take his place when he passed so a few years ago when he was still with us he trained me on all the technical matters of running a town and with mine and Raeic's dragons it was easier to secure the area around us and protect those we love and care about. After his passing luckily the town welcomed my new position and I have felt such love and protection for those who reside here that I can't imagine having any other job.
What do you like most about being the Carvahall HoA (Head of Army)?
I honestly love the people. Everyone in my army is so welcoming and friendly! It is always a joy to talk with each of them and get to know them on a more personal level. Carvahall has always valued hardwork and loyalty so it is no surprise that I see these traits ever present in my army and I am so lucky to have each and every person I have.
And the highlight of you career has been?
Competitively the highlight of my career has been watching my Carvalites push their way to the top of the leaderboard. We may be the smallest army but we have proven that we will defy all odds and come out on top and it just makes me ecstatic that I have such an active family. The not competitive side of me thinks that the greatest highlight was how many of my wonderful Carvalites have told me how great I am at being HoA. This is my first time stepping up to the plate and taking this job and to know that my warmth and excitement is being felt leaves me speechless.
If you weren’t Head of Army, what would you be doing?
Ohhh goodness this is so hard because to be honest being HoA is my favorite job. I love how active and involved I need to be, because it keeps me busy and makes me, in a way, feel responsible for those in my army. But....if I wasn't head of this fantastic army I would be The Balladeer because I will always have a soft spot for working with backstories and helping people write on and elaborate on their past has always been fun for me!
If you had to be in another Army for a day, which one would it be and why?
Oh my lanta you are hitting me with the hard questions...I would have to say Varden because I love what their army stands for. They are rebels. People who will stand up for their beliefs no matter the price and who were given a second chance at an incredible life after they were wrongfully imprisoned or exiled and they still haven't lost that fire about them that makes them stronger each day.
Was being a Head of Army your goal since you was a little girl?
Absolutely it was. My father ran this town beautifully for as long as I can remember and even after I left home for a few years his lessons followed me every day helping me with every challenge I encountered. My father has shown that a town can be powerful if all of its hidden talents are used. He taught me that everyone has skills and lessons that we can all learn from and you are the best leader when you are willing to learn from those around you. Even after his passing I still feel him in everything I do and I want him to be proud of me. Ever since I was little I have known that no matter how far I adventured I would always be back and I would always protect my family. It just became a lot easier with two dragons and a whole lot of pie!
That’s all for this week! See you soon with a new staff member! I wonder who it could be next time... PS: Fantastic work Esentrica!
